  • Calculating salaries, bonuses, deductions and benefits
  • Managing income tax withholdings and Social Security contributions
  • Compliance with Spanish labour and tax legislation
  • Handling new hires, terminations and employee records
  • Ongoing reporting and support for business owners

Our team includes labour specialists who work on payroll and employment contracts, in English and Spanish.

Who it is for

  • Small local businesses that do not want to run payroll in-house
  • International companies with employees in Spain
  • Owners hiring for the first time, who need to understand what an employee costs and what has to be filed
  • Any employer that wants an outside team to check calculations and deadlines

What employers in Spain must do

A few legal duties shape every payroll in Spain:

  1. 01

Register each worker with Social Security.

Employers must request the worker’s affiliation to the Social Security system and report when the worker starts and leaves, so that the worker is registered and deregistered in the General Scheme (General Social Security Act, article 139).

  2. 02

Pay on time and document every payment.

Regular salary periods cannot exceed one month, and each payment is documented with an individual payslip that follows the official model (Workers’ Statute, article 29).

  3. 03

    Include the extraordinary payments.

Workers are entitled to two extraordinary payments a year, one at Christmas, under article 31 of the Workers’ Statute.

  4. 04

    Withhold income tax and contributions

from each salary and pay them to the authorities, together with the employer’s own Social Security contributions.

We take care of these steps every month and tell you in advance about anything that needs a decision from you.

Why outsource payroll

  • Confidentiality:sensitive employee information handled with the highest standards of privacy
